MASHUP STERLING · version 0.100
A typewriter face by Jason Henderson Cox. A Mashup Type Foundry font.

Typed on a Smith-Corona Sterling Cartridge, an electric portable, and scanned
at 1200 dpi. Every character was typed three to eight times and the strikes
were lined up and averaged, so the letters are the machine's own type, not one
inking of it. Nothing is drawn. The exclamation mark is an apostrophe typed
over a period, the way a typist made one on a machine without the key.

The capitals print lighter than the lowercase on this machine, so some are
broken, like the top of the Z and the left side of the W. That is the
machine's character and it stays.

Monospaced, 10 characters to the inch at 12 point, like the typewriter.
